Empowering Beneficiaries Through Practical Craft Work – Seeta Training Center

In February 2025, Kandaakiat strengthened Monitoring & Evaluation systems across all livelihood and vocational initiatives, enhancing accountability, documentation, and performance tracking. Technical monitoring visits were conducted in Kawempwe and Seeta–Mukono to support mushroom growers and assess production progress, while leather training activities under UNHCR and RRLI projects were closely supervised to ensure quality standards and target achievement. Across programs, 9 beneficiaries completed a three-month leather training course, 15 women and girls actively engaged in vocational craft skills development, 13 new learners enrolled in literacy classes, and 4 VSLA groups were tracked to strengthen financial inclusion and savings practices. Essential materials were distributed to mushroom groups to boost production capacity, and continuous data updates were made to improve evidence-based reporting and decision-making.

The month also prioritized comprehensive reporting and sustainability planning. Interim and grant reports were drafted and submitted to partners, indicator tracking tables were updated, and systematic documentation (attendance records, field reports, and photographs) was consolidated to reinforce transparency and donor accountability. Monitoring outcomes reflected improved beneficiary skills, early-stage product sales, strengthened group cohesion, and growing income-generating activities. In support of long-term impact, three new project proposals were developed for resource mobilization, while internal coordination efforts focused on enhancing reporting quality and strengthening program oversight across all intervention areas.
